The Civic

Went for my dad's birthday with my dad and husband - food was Canadiana-style and delicious. From food to service, a great experience overall! A couple of minor pain points - one was that when the restaurant called to confirm the reservation by phone, I'd asked for the s'more dessert to come out with a candle. Didn't happen; I'm assuming there was a miscommunication somewhere. Server was lovely though, and definitely did her best to ensure we were happy! Second, towards the end of the dinner, noise level was making it difficult to hold any conversation with some sort of holiday party getting underway close to our table, and with the restaurant having turned up the volume on the music. To be expected considering the season but detracts from the dining experience. That and the lack of follow through with the dessert are why I wouldn't give 5 stars.

Nice old world ambiance. Great staff. Small condensed meat and fish menu. Deserts were delightful .

Really great atmosphere. Bottomless mimosas were incredible!! Although it took a bit longer than I would've liked for them to come out. Still no complaints! Service, food and energy of this establishment is 5 stars. Even the bathrooms were unique, but more importantly CLEAN. I'll definitely recommend anyone to visit The Civic for breakfast/brunch!
