Argyle Arms

The day of the Independent pub here in this part of Canada, is well upon us. For years now, a few foodservice companies have managed to “box-store-it-up”, the result being it’s difficult finding anything unique about food, service and atmosphere amongst the homogenous cinderblock new-builds out there.
Not the case here. The Argyle Arms fills the ever-encroaching void with REAL neighbourhood pub-feel. Sparse, functional, vinyl records about, ordering from the owners. That’s what a pub experience once was, and more. The Argyle Arms is home to the best burger-fry combo I’m aware of. Good beer selection. Good parking. What are you waiting for? I’d go there if I were you.

A truly homey pub. You feel like a local from the first time you enter. It's comfortable and the food is great. Easily the nicest pub in Preston, maybe in all of Cambridge.

Best bartender and company in Cambridge. The food is excellent and they don't f*** up your drinks, as you can see. (The place is also consistent)

Katie is one of the best bartender/servers I have encountered. The place is clean and well turned out. Food is great. I highly recommend the bacon jam burger with a swipe of peanut butter. Amazing! Don't knock it till you've tried it. Puts Dave's PB Burger Joint in Halifax to shame. Plus the Argyle Arms serve Guinness .....and some other great top brand draught beers. The owners are super friendly and very welcoming as are most patrons there. Usually regulars. They host live bands, karaoke and card nights and various other events. The patio is nice as well in agreeable weather that is...love this place and the staff and patrons. One of the best places to go in KW Cambridge and Guelph areas.
