The decor was nice, comfy booths, and open concept kitchen. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich, which was not hot at all. But it came with a sizable piece of chicken. Could have used more toppings. My sides were onion rings (huge and yummy) and mac and cheese (pretty good, could have been served warmer). My partner had the mac burger which was excellent. He did not like the bathrooms though.
Service from the kitchen and wait staff was fairly slow but I'd go again.
So we tried Kentucky Bourbon BBQ tonight. It was good but not great. An appetizer of calamari was just a tad over done and the ratio of peppers to calamari was a little heavy on the pepper side. I had ribs which were perfectly cooked. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste but ymmv. The Mac and cheese was good but the noodles a bit over cooked and could use a bit more seasoning. Onion rings were good if a bit bland. My wife had the fried chicken which was moist. The skin was a little dark. Maybe time to change the oil. It came with a dipping sauce which was tasty but could use a bit more seasoning on the chicken itself. She also had the Cajun corn. Not sure what made it Cajun. It just tasted like corn. Service was friendly and efficient. Portions were generous.
Such a great addition to Uptown Waterloo! Since opening it quickly became my go-to spot in the area. Such a diverse menu - truly has something for everyone with very generous portions! The atmosphere is extremely trendy, spacious and upbeat. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to ensure each guest has an outstanding experience. I will be back time & time again! Would recommend to anyone!
Great new addition to the KW area! Tried the restaurant last week and will defiantly repeat again. Amazing flavor on the ribs and chicken wings, and huge selection of sides!
Atmosphere in the restaurant is very trendy and spacious, great for parties!
Went on a Monday night to grab a late dinner and Kentucky did not disappoint. Got the spinach dip as an appetizer - one of the best in town for sure! I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with mac & cheese and the house salad and everything was delicious. The fried chicken was light a crunchy and had the perfect spice level. My boyfriend got wings with a poutine and it said it was delicious. Drinks were great too - I recommend the Collins Cocktail. Looking forward to my next time at Kentucky!
