Squirrel House

I love this place! A must try for everyone. I usually not leave a review but I like almost every products of this restaurant! The sandwiches are crispy by the way they toast and still soft inside with a layer of egg sauce and pate' for some kinds, lots of vegetable and the choice of meats. I like the BBQ Pork, Roast Pork and Grilled Beef. Chicken and Beef Teriyaki are good too. The Chicken Wings are also very crispy outside and soft inside and very well favour without any sauce. I tried the House Sauce last time and love it as well, it is the combination of spicy, sweet and a hint of sour. They recently have Baos and they are really good too, I tried both Pork and Beef Baos, very good texture with soft bun and lots of sauce and meat for the price. MUST TRY!

MUST TRY!! Definitely one of the hidden gems of Waterloo. The owner Vince, takes pride in his food as a chef. He puts his heart into making the food and it shows. I had the traditional banh mi and wings with house special sauce. The banh mi was everything I expected and more. The pickled daikon radish and carrots could have been pickled for longer, but Vince explained that when it gets busy they go through it quickly so some end up not having as strong of a flavour. Other than that, the banh mi was really balanced in flavour, everything complimented each other very well. The wings were amazing, cooked perfectly, not overly greasy, and crispy on the outside. They are made and prepared in-house so you know you are getting good food for the price. The sauce was very good, the different flavours compliment each other very well which causes it to have a depth of flavour that keeps you interested. Will definitely be back for more

This is place is an absolute treasure!

Came across this place by accident, and we took a chance on their sandwiches ... we did not regret it! Their creations are amazing, (tasty, spicy, juicy, tangy with crispy yet soft bread). The staff is super friendly, offering advice and knowledge, and service always comes with a smile.

We've been back there twice (in less than a week) ... I wouldn't have done repeat business to this establishment, unless it was warranted. With the SQUIRREL HOUSE, it definitely is true. Do yourself a favour, and stop by ... (best parking is across the street by BK).

We'll be coming back, for sure.

Stopped by again today ... we both got the amazing Banh Mi's again, but we also added their Thai wings today. So glad we did, these wings were amazing, definitely some of the best wings in K/W ... perfectly fried and sauced. I also had their iced coffee, really good, perfect pairing with the sandwich and wings. Looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely delicious AND affordable! I ate the traditional sub with medium spice and enjoyed every bite. The sugar cane juice is also a must try!

My friend and I got the grilled beef banh mi and it was absolutely delicious!, let alone the price is reasonable. We also got the sugar cane juice which was super tasty (there’s no sugar so a very healthy option for ya). Would definitely come back when I’m in town again. Highly recommended!
