The Goofie Newfie

Food was good would return for the food, service however was pleasant when they did come but service was slow and not outgoing. Waitress was sitting with obviously regular customers at the bar felt like we were intruding and not warmly welcome. Never asked if our food was good or we needed anything after it was dropped off and when we paid our bill the atm machine was left with us and sat on the table even after we used the washrooms and left. Shame really Newfoundlanders are usually so outgoing.

Nice place for food or drink. It is a very local kind of bar restaurant. Location is very close to the river, so views going in or out of the restaurant are spectacular. Outdoor patio is located over the rivers edge, very cool. I enjoy going to the Newfie..

Jackie was a fantastic waitress! One of the most attentive and considerate we've had in a long time. The beer was deliciously cold and the fish sandwich was huge! Absolutely delicious and will 100% be back when we're in Fergus again. Well done Goofie Newfie team! Especially considering the flood of people from the Scottish Festival.

Great location. Overlooking river. Nice decorations inside. Food is okay. Prices are tourist numbers. 9 bucks for a large fries thats not really that large compared to other places as an example. Bit on high side for small community. But nice to go check out. Lots of parking and again location, nice on the river and can walk around area. Not many other places to eat there.
