Helmand Kabab House

We've been visiting this establishment regularly for a year. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent and well prepared. It is a great experience every time we go there.

You know your food is cooked fresh here because you have to wait for it! :)
Serving sizes are large and prices are good.
Service is quick and kind.

Good quality shawarma. It is closer to the authentic taste (as opposed to the Westernized versions that are sold in many other places).

They serve a number of chicken, lamb, and beef dishes.

Good service as well. They were friendly even with people who did not know as much about Afghan good.

Fun fact: Helmand is a province in Afghanistan. Canadians were deployed there during Canada's mission in Afghanistan along with Kandahar province.

This is a must-try spot in Guelph. The chicken kebab was tender and juicy..and tasty. The bread was freshly baked too.
Ahmad who took my order went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great meal! HE definitely set the bar high for customer experience. I cannot fault this place even if I tried

Some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. Always perfectly cooked.

The owner is extremely nice as well and will often check in to see how your food is tasting which is something you find at a more upscale restaurant. Keep the the good work!!!
