Symposium Cafe Restaurant & Lounge

I had a birthday here on October 19th 2019 for my partner. Joseph was very helpful on the phone with ordering the birthday cake and some appetizers for the group. The Food and drinks were delicious and the service was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant.

My wife's favour treat restaurant. It is a bit upscale from where we would normally good. The food is good and honest. The deserts are what draws my wife in. All in all a good place to go for a night out.

Was in town during a business trip and luckily I was staying nearby Symposium. Decided to give it a try, oh boy i was not deceived! Ordered some Calamari as entree and the Butter Chicken Rice Bowl. During the smail wait, i contemplated the beautiful decor. Artistic paintings, offering a nice ambiance.
The Calamari arrived quite fast, they happen to be, wait for it... Probably the best Calamari ever tried! (Big statement i know, but stand behind it) They were tender and had just enough crust + dipping sauce A1!
Followed by the main dish that was exquisite!
Awesome staff and great service! Will definitely come back.

We went to the Guelph Symposium on Stone Road and we were served by Paul. We had a large party of 12 to celebrate a newly married couple. Paul was SO great! Never missed a drink or any food. He was fast, courteous and comical. He served us all by himself and did an outstanding job!

Been this restaurant a bunch of times and it is always a good experience. Went with my girlfriend the last time and we had our dogs with us, called ahead and they told us we could bring them on the patio. Our waiter (I believe his name was Frank) was incredible, offered to bring the dogs water, and took excellent care of us. The owner is always super friendly and comes around to make sure everything is good. The food is delicious and well priced, the patio is amazing in the summer. One of the best spots to eat in Guelph in my opinion!!
