Woks-Taste Chinese Restaurant 和味

This place is a hidden gem! What amazing food! I was looking for a nice chinese food place in Guelph that made great authentic food like I was used to having in Toronto and Woks Taste is the closest to it I've found in Guelph:) You won't be disappointed!!

Food wonderful. Service ok. Prices fair. Parking depends on time of day. Good food but service somewhat 'remote' if that's the right word.

So I came here when I was really young (age 6) and haven't been to this location since it has changed owners a few times. Having come here tonight was such a great choice. The food is fresh and expertly prepared. Great spices and seasonings and the seafood is cooked to perfection! Definitely come here if you like authentic Chinese cuisine for a very fair price! We will definitely be coming back!

I believe this is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Guelph. Even I live in Waterloo which has lots of Chinese restaurants, still think this one is really good. I have been there several times since last year and the taste always good. The waitress and chef are very polite. The only thing I dont like maybe the owner open the door a little bit later than it suppose to be. On the google and timetable on front door all says it open on 11am. But yesterday I been there at 11:10, it still not open. I waited until 11:30 then I gotta come in. So maybe next time not go there too early in the morning.

As a long time Guelph resident, it’s always been hard (impossible) to find good Chinese in this city. Wok’s Taste recently changed ownership and hallelujah! I can finally get my fix (and being pregnant it feels that much better). It’s like a different restaurant: the food is fresh and full of flavour, portions are large (you’ll have leftovers), and prices are very reasonable ($6.50 for veggie fried rice). The containers are stuffed full and you can eat as much as you want without feeling like death after. It’s not even very salty! Love it and will keep coming back as long as it stays like this.
