Very disappointing experience yesterday evening. Service a1 as usual but a very disappointing kitchen. We ordered the exact same thing we have ordered for our kids in every other cage au sport, the meli mélo but we substitute the wings for the wrapped hotdogs. For the first time ever we were told no! What kind of a family restaurant refuses a substitution? The waitress explained that it was due to their workload! I didn't request they change a sauce! Add 2 hotdogs on the grill instead of 2 wings. Done! Funny that they didn't have an issue adding extra cheese to my nachos for an extra fee. Won't be going back to this cage au sport ever again.
Place was nice as usual. We also enjoyed the pop corns while waiting for the food as we have done in other Cages before. Service was excellent, super friendly and helpful with the menu and being around every once in awhile. However the food was not great for us, the chicken wrap was not very tasty neither was the stuffed potato, with regard to the chicken wings they were good but looks to me it should be more chicken in the service. The jr pizza was also good though.
It's too bad that in 2019 restaurants don't separate frying oils for French fries vs all the other fried foods. Celiac disease means gluten free for health reasons, not a dietary fad.
Haven't been to the Cage in years, didn't much like it then. But the menu is actually very nice now and fair pricing. The service is quite slow depending when you go, but it is worth the wait.
