I've been to many different clubs like this and there is nothing that special about it compared to others, except the nice guy in the washroom who hands out towels to people after they wash their hands. (for him five stars) I find strip clubs to be a little like rollercoasters for people. You go up, then down, and feel a little nauseous after like something inside is not sitting right. Besides being hundreds of dollars lighter and lying to your wife about where you were last night. Right when you arrive, there is a police car parked outside. You would think this would inspire safety but in reality there presence is necessary since at some point in the evening some one is over served and or belligerent. If feel that the security would have a much easier job if a dress code was mandatory and drink limits were more regulated. As attractive as the young women are, I found that a couple of girls that talked to me were a little too candid with me and compliments were lacking sincerity. In edition to that not one woman asked me what my name was or engaged me in further conversation without asking for money right away. Maybe that works on "some guys" but I expected a little more charisma from "some girl" asking me for what I make in an hour for five minutes of her time when it was not solicited to begin with. Very disappointing, however given the clientele they serve and the attitude they come in the door with, I can't say I don't understand why. Respect is definitely earned in that regard. The coat check girl was nice and so was the bartender. Both polite and courteous and answered all my questions. The music is what you expect and the DJs voice was amusingly cliché. My only concern is that I overheard a member of the security staff make an inappropriate sexist and homophobic remark jokingly amongst themselves with some patrons outside in the smoking section outside. I don't know if it was out context or in the literal sense but I find that a security guard who behaves inappropriately and who's job primarily is to keep people from behaving inappropriately is kind of a catch 22 don't you think? Maybe that's the problem, when people think of strip clubs, they never generally assosiate it with a positive experience unless of course your a guy with $1000 just lying around and your comfortable with toxic masculinity. I would wager that for most people it is not the later. Although it is wheelchair accessible and from what I saw they catered well to people with special needs so I guess that's progress. The Dancers routines and appearance were very pleasing, at least in my opinion and where very good at their jobs in that regard. The place was exceptionally clean and tidy from what I saw. The washrooms were immaculate. However it is hot and poorly ventilated. With that in mind, $5 for a bottle of water is kind of a rip off and free water would encourage less substance abuse since for a couple of dollars more you can get a beer. In addition, safety might not be such an issue and security staff might not have to be so aggressive. The loss of the water revenue would just end up with the dancers or a tip jar for the staff so it seems like a win-win situation if you want my opinion on the matter. All in all, I give it 3 stars, and personally I would strike it to one for that security guards remarks. But I am keeping it at 3 because alot of people there did there jobs well and seems well managed in that regard and they should not be condemned for someone else's insensitive remarks. Bottom line is what do you sell and is the product speaking for itself. You might be inclined to say "sex" or the insinuating idea of it and that it sells itself because guys are easily aroused by the idea of sex. But I believe the product they are really selling is being comfortable with sex and that the product speaking for itself is people returning because they felt it was a positive experience. Neither of these things were achieved for me but maybe my standards are higher than most. Still 3 stars is generous considering the experience I had.
