Maiko Sushi

I've been to this strip mall for years and had no idea this amazing place existed in it. The resto's slightly faded sign doesn't indicate how fresh and lovely the inside actually is. Delicious, gorgeously plated food is served up in a comfortable, artfully decorated space. We were in the party room and enjoyed the secluded area very much.

Wow, this is the place you want to go of you want to eat sushi.

There is no better place. There are so many varieties, that you can come back and always try a different one. The sweet potatoes vegetarian sushi is my favorite to date.

The service is great. They give you hot towels at the beginning. You always feel taken in charge, but since it's a popular restaurant, they have a lot of work, so it's normal to wait sometimes.

The restaurant is also really good looking, but the light is a bit dark and the music is loud so people are talking loud and it can be hard to have a conversation

You have to reserve, if you don't, you might have to wait more than an hour to find a seat. I had a reservation and still had to wait around 10-15min before our table was ready.

The place is pricey, but really worth the money. If you want to eat the best sushi in Montreal, this is the place to go. Still waiting to find a better sushi place.

Nice place and great food! Had the Shrimp Tempura and my friend had the Salmon Tartare, both delicious. Love the salad, but not so fond of the soup (but I don't like Miso). Have been here a few times and it never disappoints. If you're not comfortable with chop sticks, they can provide knife and fork if you ask for it. Friendly service. We were there for three hours and we were not rushed by the waiter. Clean bathrooms! Recommended and I will definitely come back.

I rated this place as 5 stars because my friends all enjoyed the sushi & spoke highly of the place!
I am not a sushi type at all. Having said this, if friends want to have sushi, I will find something & make do. I found an excellent steak!

The quality and variety of sushi is excellent. It's a trendy environment usually bustling with clients. Service for me wasn't warm and personal. It was all business but efficient. I do recommend Maiko and will return.
