MOUSHI

Usually amazing, disappointing today :(

I visited Moushi first time a week after they opened. The staff was friendly and helpful, service was quick, the food fresh and so delicious! I'm not in West Island often, but when I'm here around lunchtime, Moushi is my resto of choice most of the time. It's been a while since my last visit, so I felt like having poke for lunch.

I ordered a custom-made salmon bowl. It looked great. But when I tasted it, it was watery and bland. No seasoning at all. I also ordered sweet potato fries, which were ready surprisingly quickly, but when I tasted them I understood why - what looked cooked turned out to be lukewarm on the outside, raw and too oily on the inside. I spent 22$ on food that I didn't enjoy at all.

I hope that this was just a one-time mistake and that the restaurant's standards did not get this low. Still, the disappointment will probably keep me from going there again for a while.

Went there with my friend and it was good. The I customized a chicken bowl, which was around 16.50$. A bit on the pricey side to my taste for a poke bowl, but it was good. The peanut add a really nice crunch to the bowl. Super clean and insta worth restaurant.

Had the spicy salmon, so good! Service was fast, place clean! My colleagues got there just before the lunch rush so we were able to get seats for our group of 7.

Healthy and super fresh. I find the bowls are reasonably priced considering the amount you get. My new go to spot when I'm craving poke!

Free, but small parking. Interesting menu. Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians. I had the vegan General Tao and my friend had the marinated tofu bowl. Both were delicious. I'm especially picky with mock General Tao and this was satisfying. The portions are more than generous (and I eat a lot). The service was excellent. The staff gave me extra sauce when I joked about loving it so much I drench my meals with it. The staff forgot I ordered an extra side and I was too lazy to say anything so I shrugged it off. Imagine my surprise when she brings it over later on the house. Of course I insisted to pay for it, but the gesture was appreciated. The perfect place for a refreshing meal once the hot weather settles in. Will definitely be back.
