We ordered a catering service for our Team Lunch at work (pork grits and jerk chicken + some salads and plantains)...it was the BEST Créole food I've had in a long time! The whole team could not get enough. The service was on time and courteous and the portions were very generous. Thank you once again for the amazing food!
As an experienced griot lover, I can say hands down this place makes the dish with love.
It seems they fry the griot right before serving opposed to other places that leaves it in a heated bin. Also note that the pikliz consist of less carrot than what I am used to, it’s actually really good and the spice has a nice kick to it as it should be. The banane peze is good like many other places. What really surprised me was their macaroni salad, usually I do not eat Haitian macaroni because the cheese taste way too much like cream. This place nailed it. I would have loved to have more of this macaroni.
Finally, the griot is made by a real chef with a degree. It makes a difference. He also came to ask us how is the griot (still unusual to see an Asian enjoying griot) and even offered me the whole jar of Pikliz! This is the place I will go to to eat griot from now on.????
P.s. wonder if this place will serve Joumou soup during the Holidays.
Nice place, nice price, and food is good the chicken is not dry and their island smoothie is amazing!
The food is amazing and friendly service
Nice and clean restaurant. Very friendly and very good griot. The food is always consistent and the pikliz and sauce are great....worth a try and you won't be disappointed. A go to place when in Montreal North worth the trip.
