Charcuterie Transilvania

Good place for cheap meats.

Small Charcuterie that offers some Romanian favorites. Includes freshly made Mici (Mitetei) and Pick Salami. Not a big place but the food is fresh and tasty. Plenty of parking.

I had the opportunity to meet the owners of Transilvania store being on vacation.We talked about many things but what surprised me was the passion shown for his work. Without any retention, he explained to me step by step what it means a day of work ( 10h to 16h /day) and how responsible you must be when you work with meat.
The big surprise came when he stopped talking and told me : " you do not believe what I said " and he invited me to his shop in Lasal to see what it means production and to taste its products.
Back home, I took my time and went to 7 am in the morning to visit him. He was already there working hard to prepare smoked sausages, liver pate, polish sausages and other products to be fresh for customers.
I was really surprised...very clean inside, like a pharmacy, german work mentality where everything must be in his place and the most important for him is to respect the recipes and procedures.
I tasted everything I could taste and for my taste, I can consider Transilvania as my favorite store.

Best place to go for holiday grocery shopping! Romanians know why :)

The meat sausages are very good. As for the chicken sausages (Krembush) they have small chicken bones that cuts. The quality is not the same as the Transylvania from Laval.
