Chez Ping

The food is very good. The problem is every time I call for a pick up order, there is always something missing or the wrong dish is in my order. And I am serious, almost every time. Yesterday I ordered Shanghai noodles and got Cantonese chow mein. When I called to tell them the response was, oh well. Not we'll come and change it or come back or even, sorry we made a mistake. So if ever you order takes out, check your order.

The food is great and the normal service is good too. Most staff are very friendly. Service during Dim Sum can be a bit slower. and less efficient. It's a little bit pricier than other Chinese restaurants though. There's plenty of parking space though, which is very nice. Good place to go eat if you can't be bothered to get downtown.

Ate there Sept 16 at noon. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered wonton soup, which was good, shrimp dumplings, which were ok but more dumpling than shrimp, pork dumplings, which were good but very dense, and eggplant stuffed with shrimp, that had very tough skin. We also had crab stuffed seaweed, very good, and spring rolls, which were also good. The spareribs were very fatty and chewy. The egg tarts to finish off were great. This was not Ping at its best and we have seen better days at this friendly restaurant.

So we were not really hungry for dinner. Looking for a dim sum place near verdun and Ping was the one that jumped out.
Great venue. Nicely spaced tables. Very courteous and helpful staff.
We ordered some dim sums, soups, and a big plate of crispy calamari for 3 persons. Total with tips about $43. No drinks.
I will come back to try other plates.
