L'Entrecôte Saint-Jean

Have been going to this resto for many years. Food is always EXCELLENT. Steak is perfectly cooked, fries are the real deal( not frozen) sauce is so yummy salade and soup also good. Like your eating at a real french Bistro in Paris. The owners are also lovely, very welcoming.

Got the special with soup. Had never had a mustard sauce steak before but this was great! Ordered rare and it was cooked to a proper rare. The soup was delicious and the server was incredibly friendly. Will go back.

I loved my rare 6 ounce steak with dijon sauce. My husband got the 12 ounce cooked medium and was a bit disappointed with the amount of gristle. He pointed it out and the hostess said it was fat that adds flavor. I think he just happened to get a bad cut / trim and if he had pressed the issue they would have made it good somehow. He ate the whole thing, except the gristle, and was at least happy with how it tasted.

Other than that, the carrot soup was smooth and delicious. The fries just right, crispy and not greasy.

The service was quite attentive. I would go again, but stay away from the larger cut steak.

Reminds me of Steak Frites i had in Paris, so delicious and perfectly cooked. Tomato soup was so creamy and delicious. I ordered a medium done steak, it was so soft and juicy, and the sauce is so unique. I have also ordered a profiterole, chocolate sauce was so rich. Cream puff filling was so refreshing, perfect for a summer day! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
