On a friend's recommendation, I tried the hot dogs; I had two, all dressed, they were delicious. My date had a hamburger, no complaints or critiques there either. The fish and chips are also delicious. I think the prices are fair for both quality and quantity. The server was friendly and efficient. Ambience is mid century diner casual.
Feels like I'm somewhere near the coast when I'm in there so that's fun. Thought I liked clam chowder till I went to this place. Found out I've never truly tasted it until now. Damn is it good. Pretty expensive chowder but on a cold night by the fire. Mmmm. Perfect.
Delicious, generous fried cod and calamari.....love the choice of dips that come with the calamari. Fresh cut fries with the peel .....love it! Great service. Enjoyed the terrace.
Will definitely be going back!
Best described as a fast food fish and chips shop. They brought back this segment of restaurant after many years after the loss of Mommy's on de L'Eglise. They put a more modern spin on the shop, being a bit artsy. I will say that while I enjoy what they have to offer, I feel that the quality may have slipped since opening. At one time they had line ups of clients waiting to sit down and eat and now I don't see this anymore. Still if you're in the mood for some fish n chips while in Verdun they are a good choice.
Nice little restaurant, very friendly and it is actually comfy to sit at the counter. The fish and chips was good and the prices are fair. I tried the shrimp rolls, and for under ten dollars, it is a very decent meal!
