“It's so great to have a salad place around here AT LAST! The seasonings were a bit off and they closed a bit early, but they had literally been open for just a couple of days and they were still finding their grounds. On the plus side, the big salad was actually big (unlike many places where the big salad is barely regular size) and the ingredients were wonderfully fresh. The prices are good. Salads are expensive in Montreal, but they're kept reasonable here. (It's not Souplantation, but again, we're not in SoCal.) And the person behind the counter was just so nice that I might have graded this place five stars even if my salad had been bad, which it was not. My guess is that in a couple of weeks, the salads will go from good to amazing, once they've had a bit more practice. They seemed extremely focused on quality. I also had an extremely good cookie and some gazpacho. I had just returned from Spain days a few days earlier so my standards for gazpacho was a tad high, but I always approve of the presence of gazpacho.”

“Gus is a wonderful food experience. I could not recommend making the time to go and try their take on a surf & turf. The food is not only DELICIOUS but the service is friendly and professional. I strongly suggest you make a reservation : it is now a popular hot spot and is often full. They also make a delicious bloody Caesar, for those unaware : the Canadian twist on the classic Bloody Mary. The ambiance is warm, friendly and more on the casual side. I'd say it's a great place for a first date! You can also reserve for a large group and have a wonderful experience : the portions are very very generous and made for sharing.”

“Came here for lunch. It was slow paced but luckily we were in no hurry. I can appreciate that the meal was made very well, BUT I also have to say that it wasn't too exciting. I had the fish and it was not very memorable. I wouldn't say it was bland, just boring and mellow. I do think it was overpriced as there was no real excitement in the dish and the portion was on the smaller side. I didn't have enough of a good experience to go out of my way to eat here again or recommend.”

“The food was so effing good! The fried fish taco is a really interesting concept and is very tasty without being heavy. The tacochon is just amazing. They also have fried grasshoppers that they serve with a fried tortilla and guacamole and sour cream. Oh also, the dessert is out of this world. It's still shaped like a taco but made of a biscuit with a chocolate cream and lemon "mousse" centre. It's apparently made specially for them by the patisserie next door, and it's simply divine. And to top it all, the waiters are really friendly and accommodating. We didn't have a reservation and they still found a way to have us. Cannot recommend enough :)”
