La Piazzetta Saint-Louis

We really enjoyed La Piazetta Saint Jean. I had the roasted vegetable piccolo pizza and my husband had the blue cheese and caramelized onion pizza. Both were very delicious. The toppings were very fresh and plentiful and the crust and sauce were some of the best I ever had. There were also a lot of wonderful looking fresh desserts which made it tough to choose. The gateau that my friend had was very generous and delicious. The servers were attentive without being obtrusive and the food came very quickly. I would certainly come here again. Highly recommend.

I visited the restaurant one night while in Quebec City, in part because it was only a short walk from my hotel, although also as other reviews suggested it was a decent option for a good feed. Service was a little hit and miss, although the waitress did apologise more than once that her English wasn't great - although as my French is even worse, I could in no way fault her for her language skills. The restaurant seemed fairly large for a pizzeria, perhaps feeling even more so because there weren't many guests on the weeknight I visited. Choosing a pizza with duck on it gave the impression that the menu was a little fancier than the 'local favourite' feeling that the decor presented. I enjoyed the pizza, and left enough room for a dessert as well.

This was within walking distance of our hotel so we decided to go here. Great decision. The pasta was excellent, the server was very pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed. We would dine here again. Just what we needed after a long day walking around old Quebec.

We dined here last night and had a wonderful experience, service and food were both excellent! So good that we decided to return tonight to dine on the patio. Our server passed by us several times, serving two groups of people who arrived after us. We had to ask for water, we had to ask for a wine list, and waited a long time between stops at our table. We had to go into the restaurant and wait at the bar to order our meals because our server just kept walking by us with no acknowledgement. No offer to replenish our drinks. We waited a very long time for our food - our meals were very good. But we won’t be back while we’re here.

Fantastic! Service, ambience and especially the food. Even the kids menu was top class. Our 4 year old devoured everything put in front of him. The lobster pizza and salmon burger were delicious and a lovely bottle of quebec rose was the perfect accompaniment. Our dessert was even made in-house with local strawberries. Did I mention the service - warm, friendly, helpful and impeccably professional. No television thank God but wonderful background music at an appropriate volume.

Figured we would visit this wonderful restaurant a second time on our trip. Reinforced our first visit. Timely service, fantastic food and amazing atmosphere. Wish we could come here every week!
