Portofino Brasserie italienne

We met friends for dinner at Restaurant Portofino as it was highly recommended to them. It was about a ten minute walk from the Hilton Quebec. The restaurant is very unassuming from the outside. When you walk in you are looking right at the pizza station and oven. It was quite warm in that area. In the back corner on the left was a singer with his guitar. From the back wall we turned right and walked past a number of tables followed by another right turn into another room with several more tables. There were some nice tables along the windows looking out onto the street. Unfortunately the restaurant was very busy and those tables were occupied. Our table was right beside the server’s busing station but it was not disruptive at any time during our meal and visit. They have a good selection of beer and wine as well as sangria and mixed drinks. We started the evening with a drink, visiting, and looking over the numerous choices in the menu.

Decent food, good service. Bit pompous.

Some of the best Italian fine dining we had while in Canada. Service was great and they were very accommodating.

Great menu. Impeccable service all around. Can't go wrong here!
