“Great place. Wish hey had kale, spinach, Arugula or any other green as their salad base instead of iceberg lettuce.”

“Came for a quick bite before dinner. We were quickly greeted by a friendly host who was very helpful seating us and explaining the menu. Nigiri and fried tofu appetizer were particular highlights - would highly recommend!”

“We had a lunch after guided tour. We have chosen table d'hote for two persons. For 44 CAD each of us got an appetizer, three small dishes, dessert and coffee. The meal was a sort of fusion cuisine, with many elegant small touches, such as sea buckthorn berry in dessert. All in all, better value than most restaurants in old city. Strongly recommended.”

“Amazing Teriyaki food! The soup was also splendid. The Shrimp tasted fresh, and not fishy. Staff greeted us with smiles, and had great recommendations. Coming from Toronto I was looking for a good Japanese food fix, this was certainly the spot!”

“Great tasting burger; juicy, well-seasoned, and the choice of 4 mayo options sealed the deal for me! Freshly made fries were good too. HAVE THE BOURBON BURGER.”

“Excellent and great tasting pizzas. Crust is nicely done and the variety of pizzas on offer are unique and different from what a run of the mill pizza place would offer.”

“The duck main and eel rice ball entree were awesome, along with the cocktails (big) but I found the inside lacking in character and instead of a restaurant more like a function room for wedding. Lots of room though. Poke bowl quite disappointing, too much rice and not enough sauce.”

“Such a hidden gem in Quebec City! We have been making our way across Quebec and Ontario and eating out almost every day. We stopped by for lunch today not knowing what we wanted or if we wanted much at all. Boy were we ever glad that we did! From the minute we walked in the staff welcomed us as if we were family. Steaming bowls of food, ice cold beer, and excellent service. Very relaxed atmosphere and absolutely amazing genuine Chinese food.”

“Quebec City's long record-breaking heatwave was expected to end in early evening with violent thunderstorms and hail. A good night to eat in, we thought. And we remembered passing a Subway earlier that day near the cathedral, about a 5-minute walk from our hotel. So off we went to get takeout for a light supper. The restaurant looked clean and well maintained. Other customers there were a family of three and a solo young man. No one sat at any of the few tables. The pleasant woman behind the counter worked quickly and efficiently, and she spoke excellent English.”

“Wow - what a gem. This day was the highlight of our trip to Quebec City. We took the ferry over from Quebec City, played in the Levi splash park for a bit, hiked up the red steps, and then continued hiking to downtown Levi. We were 2 families with kids age from a 3 year old, teens, and young adults - a total of 10 people. We stopped in for lunch at the end of the lunch hour - around 2 pm. They sat us at 2 different tables immediately - which was fine because we were hungry and it is a small restaurant. They don’t speak a whole lot of English, but the wait staff did a great job trying - and with google translate it was fine. We had the bison steak, mushroom ravioli, shrimp/scallops linguini, and smoked salmon/rice dish. They were all amazing dishes but my husband and I liked the bison steak the best. It was cooked to perfection, seasoned just right, and melted in you mouth. My least favorite dish was the salmon/rice dish but even that was hard to not like. It was a salad type dish with rice instead of greens, and the salad ingredients were fruits (apples, mangoes, etc.). The prix-fixed came with soup - which was a great start. By the time we finished our meals, we were full and took our desert to go (chocolate cake).”

“Walked by and decided to make a reservation for dinner here for the following evening. Nice upscale restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We decided to go with a soup and beef bavette main course from the daily offering and also shared the seafood board appetizer. All was very delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was very attentive even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Daily menu is very reasonably priced.”

“Chicken AND ribs combo just can't go wrong with that. Was delicious and lots of soft meat on the ribs. Service was also excellent.”

“Very good food, plenty of choices for all palates. Be sure if you want an enjoyable conversation not to be seated near the bar, it's very loud and you can't converse well. Service was fast and efficient. The staff was very friendly. Appropriate for both fine dining and casual dining. Overall a very good experience.”

“Stopped here because we had been walking all day and needed a break and a quick bite. Chez Ashton did the trick. We ordered two regular poutines and they did not disappoint. The gravy was rich and flavorful and the fries were crisp, fresh and golden. it was fast food style, and the restaurant itself is not very charming, but what do expect for a fast food chain. i would go here again in a pinch.”

“Food was fantastic, great outdoor seating and a very cozy lively indoor bar area. The setting is a very eclectic look and feel with the lighting and decor. Staff was very friendly, courteous helpful and professional. The food was prepared well and portions are off adequate size. I ordered the burger with a salad side and both were perfect. The burger we seasoned well and the salad dressing was tasty.”

“A Rock n roll bar with very good collection of home beers. The atmosphere is fantastic with a jukebox where you can listen to your favorite music or even prank and embarrass your friends. Staff is friendly and prices are good. The only thing I can complain about is that the prices aren't in the menu, they're written in a chalkboard somewhere over the bar, you can't really see it if you aren't sitting by the bar, so keep an eye for it. The car is nicely decorated with original artwork, which is hard to find. Good experience, I had a blast and would definitely come back.”

“Ribs for lunch was the best choice I made all day! Fantastic flavour with sweet sticky sauce on the ribs and then a very mild vinegar based bbq dipping sauce, very nice combo. A few bites were a little tough on the top but overall fall off the bone and perfect smoke flavour. Ambiance was great, service was friendly and quick. Another highlight was their tomato basil soup and bread which were included and very tasty. Highly recommend.”

“We visited the restaurant on St-Jean and loved everything we had - falafel and gyro sandwiches, couscous, and pistachio pastry. Everything was really tasty and flavorful, and the sandwiches were generous portions for the price. A good value does not seem typical for Rue St-Jean, so finding this place was a real treat. The service was really excellent - the woman who took our order, prepared and served our food was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback that we experienced is that the restaurant doesn’t have a great dining room. The interior has more of a fast-food vibe than one might desire after a long day of sightseeing.”
