“Just outside the Old city. What looks like a dive bar is actually a hidden gem! Great selection of beers. The bartender there was AWESOME! She took her time, during her preparation for the day to help us out. She spoke both English and French very knowledgeable and personable. She took the time to recommend local pubs and bars along with giving us a destination point to start with walking back to our hotel. Definitely worth going too.”

“A woman called us over to tell us about the menu as we walked past, and it sounded good to us. (I should note 3 of 4 of us are Spanish speakers, and everyone in the group has traveled extensively in the Spanish speaking world.) The woman told us the staff inside spoke Spanish, which clearly wasn't true because the waiter couldn't understand a basic question in Spanish. We ordered in English, after which the waiter asked if we knew what "albóndigas" were. What? We were the ones speaking Spanish. The tapas were very basic, but well prepared. After the meal we wanted to pay with cash, and told the waiter we wanted change, holding on to the cash for the tip to give him later. He walks back and snidely asks if we understand tipping. Again, what? We're American--we overtip all over the world! We didn't even have our jackets on. I don't know what was going on with the waiter, but his attitude made it hard for us to recommend the place.”

“This place is definitely worth it! You can get a beautiful 360 degree view of Quebec City while enjoying your delicious meal. The beef croquette and the apple risotto were excellent appetizers to start the meal. The risotto was creamy and very well flavoured while the croquette was crunchy and had a meaty richness. The main dishes were the highlights of the meal. The chicken ballotine was incredibly tender and the sauce paired very well with the chicken. The scallops were also delicious. They were pan fried to perfection and tasted delicious with their own house smoked bacon. The corn salad was also a nice added touch to the dish and prevented it from being too overwhelming. Overall, it was an incredible dining experience and I would definitely recommend coming here!”

“There is a buffet choice which I didn't pursue; this review is for a la carte breakfast. Service was fast, friendly (Merci Laurent). Reasonably priced for an in-hotel breakfast, and choice of toasts was appreciated. (I had the baguette and it was the first time I ate all my toast when eating breakfast out.) I had eggs, bacon, home fries...the fruit served on the plate was excellent...orange, honeydew, canteloupe, watermelon and pineapple.”

“I'll start with the good news. The food is good. It's good and you shouldn't be disappointed. Unfortunately, the bad news is that it's not authentic Vietnamese food. I get more authentic vietnamesse food in Yellowknife. The prices are at least 20% higher than any other vietnamesse restaurant I've ever been to and the service was subpar. The food took much longer to arrive than it should have and I never got my water glass refilled. The place is full of older Caucasian people, so I wouldn't change the menu either. If you don't usually eat ethnic food, you'll be quite happy there. Any foodie out there, be warned.”
