Service was very attentive and food was good! I'm quite the picky eater and they had stuff for me. The fries, nachos and panko broccoli were very good. General Tsao tofu was great too.
Food came out in less than 5 minutes, probably closer to 3, so crazy fast.
Definitely more bar focused than restaurant, in terms of the HUGE drinks menu compared to the food menu, but the food is very good too.
Huge diverse selection. Can't go wrong
Odd location to get too (feels like you are going to someone's apartment but once inside,. Super cute bar with lots of tiki deco influence and a superb patio. Large menu but personally I think it needs more tiki cocktails available.
Nice ambiance, vast choice of drink, good quality, bit expensive. Nice eco friendly place.
Great for drinks, but pass for food. What attracted us to La Buvette was drinks in the first place. The idea of 70 different types of microbrewery beers seemed generous. Then, after noticing some interesting ideas from the food menu, we decided to have supper there as well. I thought the onion soup poutine was an original idea that could work. It was very disappointing to say the least. I ate some of it only because I was hungry. It was so salty it was discouraging. I spent all evening trying to digest. I would not eat there again. My wife's sandwich/salad was also too salty.
If you're looking for a nice place to have drinks as a couple or a group, La Buvette is a great choice. The crowd is young, the ambiance modern, and the music relevant. If you're interested in a good meal, look elsewhere.
