My favorite sugar shack. Maybe a bit more expensive but well worth it. The food is just so much better than the other sugar shacks I've eaten at.
Just checks all the boxes. Really solid sugar Shack. Little horse ride. Bunch of food all you can eat. Pig rinds are great.
Best sugar Shack in the region. Cabane à sucre tend to be family style and cooks are average but here it's top notch. From the coleslaw, homemade ketchup, and donuts are great. The sugar pie on shortbread yum! Beans are great, big ham pieces, you can't go wrong. Went twice during the season, wish sugar season was longer.
Amazing hosts/servers, everyone is unbelievably friendly even if you're French isn't so buttoned up.
Food value is unreal, 4 courses of dishes for $25 a person. What more could you ask for.
And you get a maple glace on the way out the door.
Put on your plaid and get out here.
What a treat.
Nice place in the south shore. The style of the building is very nice and fitting the theme of maple syrup house. The food was surprisingly good! I have had some not so great food at other sugar shacks in recent years. We started with yellow pea soup The all you can eat food included eggs, baked beans, sourdough bread, potatoes, meat balls and what seemed like steam roasted ham. There was homemade ketchup, beats, coleslaw, pickles, butter and pate available as side dishes. The main meal was followed by an excellent dessert of cinnamon muffin, mini pancakes and scrumptious chomeur. There was also unlimited delicious maple taffy at the very end.Would definitely go back again.
