Great cozy place to have smoked meat! Friendly and quick enough service! Been there a few times and always satisfied. Still has to try nights they have live music

"Can't beat Pete's Meat"...True to their slogan this is the best smoked meat on the West Island. Dare I say the best in all of Montreal!

The owner, Pete, has built a place with a real welcoming vibe. He's always chatting with the customers or ready to pick up his guitar and join the band for a set. You feel more like a friend rather than a client.

The place itself has a log cabin kind of feel to it. While a little on the crowded side everyone is friendly. Great live bands and classic car nights during the warmer months.

The smoked meat is moist, succulent and delicious. The fries, made from Manitoba Red potatoes, are awesome. They also have delicious ribs, steak and chicken wings.

Oh yeah... why wait in line? Why be stuffed into the back of a tiny restaurant and rushed? Why do all these things when you can come to Smoke Meat Pete's and have an amazing juicy smoked meat or even any of the other awesome selections. Several surveys have had the smoked meat as being in the top 5 best places in Montreal. I can attest that it is really great. Don't expect anything fancy here. You line up to order your meal and then take a seat inside or out. A server brings your meal to you. There's live music every night.
