After months of traversing terrible roads and fending from the desert life, I was just about ready to give way. However, this Subway establishment may have just saved my life. I must say they have a great selection of sand(wiches), I ordered the "Broken sandrail axle" and was not disappointed. For water, I would recommend visiting the nearby aquifer.
If you are lost in the desert, don't ditch your wallet because this is a great place to have lunch. They have good sandwiches and also lots of cold drinks. The menu is mostly the same, except for the addition of the horny toad marinated steak sandwich "the meat is sliced real thin", which I declined to try. The service is excellent especially since they don't seem to have many customers. They were still talking about their last customer, Bret Martell, from a month ago.
It was a long drive and hard to find. I've had better dirt sandwiches elsewhere. Wouldn't go out of my way for it but if you're in the area, it's not bad.
