Authentic Irish pub. Reminded us very much of pubs in Dublin. Order a Smithwicks, a serving of the nachos, and sit outside to enjoy the live music on Saturday nights. One of our local favorites.
We went during the Arts Festival. Even though it was slammed the food was fantastic. I got the fish and chips, which was super flaky and cooked perfectly. The malt vinegar allow that came with it was yummy. He got the ahi tuna tacos. He said they were fabulous and the look on his face when he took a bite, well you just would have had to be there. The drinks were excellent, definitely not a short pour.
Very quiet on the day we went but the food was amazing and the staff was wonderful. Would go again!
Outside seating is nice, especially around the fires. Plenty of TVs outside and access to bar. It's nice not to have to go all the way in just to get another drink. Live music as well. What's not to like?
Irish Pub... says it all. Cozy and unpretentious, this is a classic Irish pub. The owner is behind the bar and delivers plenty of character. A blackboard only menu varies with market and whim, as it should. Pours are honest, Irish Coffee is gold standard and the food is plentiful, well seasoned and quite reasonable.
It is just minutes off Interstate 10 on the East side of Mobile Bay, in the Fairhope/Gulf Shores area. Well worth the few minutes travel to get away from the road trip fast food.
