Amazing breakfast food! You can tell the chef cares about his/her food that they put out. A must stop when in the area. The wait staff was awesome!
Hate to share this gem but it's only fair. We ate there twice for breakfast now and let me tell you it was excellent. This morning my husband and I had the shrimp and crab omelet and my husband said, "That was the best omelet I've ever had." Super attentive waitress too. My new favorite spot.
The Ugly Diner is a GREAT find in Gulf Shores. The menu pictures are not stock photos, they are what the food really looks like. I had the whole Reuben. It was big enough for two and DELICIOUS! My husband had the hamburger and it was HUGE! The prices are VERY reasonable and the quality is excellent. The owner came out and spoke to us, what a treat. Highly recommend!!!
The old Diner was one of our favorite restaurants in Gulf Shores for excellent food at a very reasonable price. We visited the new "ugly Diner" location yesterday. The dining room is a lot smaller but tables were either spaced 6ft apart or divided by plexiglass. A full house is about 20-25 people. The food, still an exception value, was delicious. I ordered a BLT which had bacon perfectly cooked and fresh lettuce and tomato (best BLT in Gulf Shores). My wife ordered the Rueben which, as always, was exceptional (also, probably the best in Gulf Shores). The fries were cooked to just the right state of crunchy outside and soft inside. Steve has done a wonderful job creating this restaurant. The man is a blessing to Gulf Shores. We will be back often.
