Wintzell's Oyster House

Great service from Jasmine!! I had red fish daughter had shrimp sampler which were excellent. Fried catfish for husband had an extreme amount of breading. Waitress volunteered to take it back which we agreed to. Lighter breading but still not good. So skip the fried catfish and go with something else. Will visit again. Would recommend to others

The original Wintzell's in Mobile. Alabama is NOT TO BE MISSED! It is an iconic restaurant with superlative seafood and by far the best gumbo on the planet! Unfortunately, my lunch at Wintzell's in Greenville, Alabama did not live up to the same reputation as the original. My shrimp basket included two unremarkable hush puppies which were overcooked. The six jumbo shrimp were tasty but they did not tip the scales at " jumbo". The basket had an ample supply of French fries which were hot and abundant! Service was average!

We are travelers passing through. Went to Wintzell's for dinner and was pleasantly surprised, our server April was so nice and professional. The prices were reasonable, it was a very good dinner. I had bacon wrapped scallops and my husband had bacon wrapped shrimp, both were very good. Thank you, if we pass this way again, we will surely stop.

Lots of ads along the highway pointed this place out and wow it was worth stopping! Nice decor and outdoor sitting area. Quick service made it a great roadside stop while I was traveling. My waitress Katie was very attentive.

Very nice place. Went here for a work related outing with coworkers and this place didn't disappoint one bit. We all had a plethora of food that consisted of oysters, fried pickles, beans and rice and so many more plates that I couldn't recall now if I tried but I do remember EVERYTHING here was delicious. Dining room and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Waitresses here were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I would go back here in a heartbeat especially for the oysters cause they ALL were good raw or cooked. I highly recommend this place to anybody.
