We had been anxiously awaiting to see if the rumor of this restaurant opening would happen during COVID. After a co-worker recommended the Jambalaya and let us know they had just opened at the first of November, we headed over this week. I’m not a chef, but I can create some excellent Cajun dishes so I was ecstatic. Arriving to see that they also served BBQ was surprising but interesting, because we really miss Local Joe’s. When skimming the menu, my eyes were immediately drawn to the Voodoo Pasta, not just because I love this dish at other restaurants like Effina’s, but because it contained Conecuh sausage which I is high on my list of preferred foods. Unfortunately, it was not served with the bow tie pasta it was listed on the menu to have. But it was tasty! The other dish we ordered was the crawfish etouffee. It had great flavoring but was very fishy. Maybe they caught them in Alexandria Creek? Kidding. The French bread and hush puppies were on point and we really enjoyed. The decor left a lot to be desired. It was as though they slapped some paint over the Breaking Bread establishment that was short-lived (did it even open) before Dale’s. With the menu they have l, they could really do something awesome with the concept in regard to decorating, instead of the religious references throughout the rooms. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back!!

First off Dale is a friend but this is an unbiased opinion :) and I'm from Louisiana (I know my Cajun cuisine). I had the combo platter with fried shrimp, oysters and stuffed crab, side of red beans & rice and baked potato. The food was really good and prices were reasonable. Service was great!

The food was not overly spicy but just enough to give it a bite. I enjoyed everything EXCEPT the red beans and rice. I personally didn't care for it. It was different than I'm used to eating so maybe that is why. I will definitely go back!!
