Pretty good food at really good price. They have daily specials, today was the country fried steak and two sides

Great place to eat and really friendly staff. There are a variety of things going on under one roof which makes it even better in my opinion. They have regular convenience store items, furniture, family restaurant, e-bikes, electronics, etc...but they do not have gas pumps so you will need to go to Romas or back towards town.

We were out and about just killing time and came across this charming place. Its had a cozy welcome home kind of feeling my husband ordered the Catfish Fillet Dinner and I ordered the Country Fried Steak Dinner. We always go out to eat on fridays and it's been the same ole same ole. Either to much MSG in the food or they dont take as much pride in it as they once did. However this place was worth the stop and ride. Its probaly about 20min from Tallapoosa and the service was wonderful as well. Both my husband and I absolutely loved it. We are skeptics when it comes to certain foods such as slaw and catfish and cabbage different people like it different ways. But here it's as if they knew exactly how we liked it. All of it was delicious. Rite down to the cole slaw which my husband usally dont care for but really liked it. And he loved the catfish. He said he hasnt had catfish that good in a very long long time. He even went and told the chef what a great job she had done on it. My country fried steak was delicious as well. I enjoyed it all. So with out a doubt we give this resturant 20 stars plus. So if your tired of the same ole boring places you been eating and you have a taste for some country cooking with great service give this place a try. You wont regret it. It's well worth the ride.

Well y'all, I have to love this place because it's the first place I have to get to the things I need, as I live just a couple blocks behind it. I have no way to travel except by foot, really. That being said I will get to the rest of my review now. This is a genuine COUNTRY store. They offer a delicious inhouse full service menu 🧑‍💻of southern yummy table muscle dishes. Come on in, have a seat in a booth or high atop a stool at the counter bar. It has never taken me a long wait for anything I've ordered. I've never noticed anything tasting leftover or stale. The help is always really nice, minus rare occasion of a blue🌚🌛.! There are times they may not be open on regular business days 😿🧶for whatever reason Kind of tough on my🦶🦶 back, 🐶🐩 and cell phones🤯🤬 (I've dropped and broken 1 or 2🚶 up🙄)(should have called first🤷🧐😱😑😤).
The store itself sells a variety of misc items, from maybe blankets to washing machines to toilet seats or flood lights, outdoor furniture or tools and gadgets as well as the regular 20oz drink, beer, cigs, vapes, bread and snack items. No gasoline, the nearest gas store is about 4 miles away. But hey, it's HOME. We all are Grateful to have them here in the small town (box) of Fruithurst (fruitloops). Population just under 1200. See y'all soon.

Stopped here for supper, not dinner (dinner is lunch). Almost sat in Orvell Kerr’s reserved seat, but glad I didn’t as he came in after us. Super nice fellow who’s obviously there pretty often for them to save him a seat. This place is like going back in time, and judging from the ashtrays on the tables, I think you can still light up a smoke without having to go out on the porch. If you want to experience small town Alabama like it was circa 1974, stop in and see the fine folks at the Fruithurst General Store and Family Restaurant. If they treat you like they treated us, you’ll feel right at home!
