Salt Restaurant

Tried for the first time tonight.
Jeanie was a great server.
Steak was great. Shotgun shrimp was great.
Only thing that would've made it better was A1 .

Me and my wife tried it out Saturday (5/14/22)...Just one word.... Wow. Great new restaurant on Woodward (Where Lenny's use to be). You use the Lava Rock to finish cooking at your table to cook it the way you like. Great experience. It will cost a little more but IMO, very much worth it. My steak (Ribeye) was tender and perfectly seasoned from the stone. My wife had the shrimp which she said was also very good. We both had the sauteed mushrooms and garlic for the sides A+ there as well. The portions looked small, but after finishing I was pleasantly satisfied. I also give an A+ to our server Devan T. She was outstanding and explained everything about the cooking process and the restaurant itself. She said the official grand opening is the 20th. Overall great experience.... I think they may need a bigger place. :)

This place was pretty cool. It has a very relaxed feel to it and the food was truly great. If you're looking for a good night or a truly great steak for just 26 bucks, go give this place a shot. The only downsides for me were that the booth seats slide a bit more than they should and it took them a minute to seat us, but both of those problems are negligible especially since they just opened. If anyone from the restaurant is reading this, I would really recommend fixing the sliding booth issue somehow. When the lady behind my girlfriend went to get up she slid the booth so much my girlfriend almost spilled her drink.

I ordered the filet and the carrots. The filet was the best steak I've had in quite a while! I love how you can cook each bite to your desired temperature and every bite is hot! Awesome service! Jeannie was our server. She did an awesome job explaining how this new experience works!

My wife and I visited Salt restaurant tonight. At first I was a little concerned because they're offering something that we are not used to in the South. which is at the table hot lava rock steaks. which means you are served a steak that is seared on both sides but raw in the middl. You cut the steak yourself and finish it out on a very hot lava rock at your table (loved it). I spoke with the owner and the server and I was just blown away with how awesome these people are and how wonderful the food is. It is different, it is eccentric it is a little pricey (not bad at all for the experienc) but very worth it. I most definitely suggest trying it out. It is something you will come to love I believe. After speaking with the owner I also understand they will offer steaks regularly cooked on the grill, if your desire but the atmosphere and experience is well worth it. Wonderful place for a date night and a wonderful little exotic getaway at home.
