Very friendly staff and food was very good!

I entered this beautiful old house and was graciously greeted at the counter where you order. The food got to me very quickly. I had a chopped steak with gravy which was excellent. That is where the good ended. The mashed potatoes were room temperature and had little flavor. The carrots. Same. There was a flat flavorless disc that was cornbread. Unfortunately, it had no taste as well. I will go back and try the breakfast.

This is a great little place with yummy breakfast. I cannot comment to the lunch menu yet as we have only eaten breakfast so far. We will definitely be back for more breakfast and to try lunch!

I had the traditional hamburger and it was very tasty. Also I liked the potato salad. My husband had the hamburger steak dinner and he enjoyed it very much. Besides the good food, the waiting staff are extremely nice and accommodating. Clean, neat restaurant. A lot of pictures on their walls depicting the history of Cullman, for example the pix of the old Cullman Co courthouses. Really quiet , pleasant atmosphere.

I love everything about this place! Staff is efficient & friendly. They have several rooms for small groups to meet. Breakfast & lunch are served from a limited menu, but adequate (quiche is delicious).
