The Social at Lake Martin

We had been wanting to try out The Social, but found our experience a bit disappointing. The catfish we ordered was undercooked and the shrimp was dry. We enjoyed being on the water but prefer a more open view of the lake. The restaurant does have a nice menu with many good choices. We plan to give The Social a second visit.

We've been here twice by boat. Great atmosphere. Live music was awesome! Food was pretty good. Were out of oysters second visit which was a bummer. Friendly staff and fast service for being so busy. Can definitely see this place blossoming and becoming the hot spot with more time and experience on their hands ❤️

Liked the place. Staff was great, very helpful. We were with a big group so there was a variety of food. Hamburgers, fries, and cheese sticks were good. Fish and shrimp tasted like it was out of a box - won't get that again. $3 soda was a little extreme.

I went on a busy day and got our food and drinks quick. The bartenders were friendly, atmosphere was nice although the music was a bit loud. The drinks lean on the sweet side. Food wasn’t much to write home about especially given the price. With some higher quality food and some more balanced mixed drinks this would be one of *the* spots of Lake Martin. Unfortunately the drinks and food just weren’t enough to put me over the fence on this place. Great concept and great staff, but still room for improvement.
