Great service. Good food.
I Didn't know what to expect coming here tonight, never eaten at a restaurant in a hotel before. However, immediately after arriving, I felt welcomed, relaxed, and comfortable. The environment is upscale but still casual feeling, the seating is the best in the wiregrass, and not very noisy at all.
The service matched the upscale but casual vibe. The waiter appeared promptly after our arrival and went over the specials and the drink menu. He knew the menu inside and out and was able to answer any questions we had.
We opted to get the bread service, which is optional. The Naan comes with a trio of different butters. The bread was cooked perfectly, and tasted great by itself. Mixed with either of the regular butter choices just made it even better. However, the crowning jewel was the sun dried tomato butter. I could have eaten the butter straight from the bowl.
My wife order the salmon they were running a special on. It came out looking like it was plated on a food network TV show. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the carrots were grilled and crispy. The flavor of these individually was better than anything in Dothan, but combined with the dirty rice was something I could eat everyday, and unlike anything in Dothan.
I, on the other hand went with a simple burger. Well, so I thought. Call it a mile high burger, or the best burger in the wiregrass, whatever you decide, this is a must try food. It was cooked perfectly, the brisket was still moist and favorable and the cheese & BBQ sauce that is on it makes it a completely amazing burger.
Now, all of this may seem expensive, but it was actually all a great price, and definitely worth the money! We definitely will be coming back. Guys, if you looking for somewhere fancy casual to take the Mrs too, this should definitely be on the list.
I soooo wish I had taken a photo. The food was amazing. I never expected hotel food to be that level of quality. Try the naan bread with 3 choices of spread. The sweet butter and sun dried tomatoes was addictive and the curated signature drinks are fabulous. Our waiter D.J. provided superior service. He gave us a fine dining experience.
The corn & crab bisque was absolutely some of the best I’ve ever had, perfect. We shared the the pork chop that was massive and delicious. It was served atop of some sweet cornbread that had a bite. And covered in Conecuh sausage, black eyed peas gravy(think red beans and rice minus the rice and black eyed peas instead of red beans, deliciousness).
In my humble, but professional travelers opinion. Hilton needs this menu, this executive chef, and these cooking techniques at all of their properties. Hands down.
