(October 26, 2019, 8:26 pm)The service is fast and the waitresses r all nice. The ice cream is so good even the sugar free vanilla. My salted caramel cheesecake was super delish n not crazy sweet.

(October 25, 2019, 6:54 pm)Payne’s has such a fun atmosphere. The sandwiches and ice cream are very tasty and all of the staff is friendly and inviting. Fun stop for a full meal or just a scoop of ice cream. Located in the historic downtown area so parking can sometimes be tricky.

(September 29, 2019, 5:30 pm)As good as promised. Great old soda fountain atmosphere with friendly and courteous staff. Food was great with large portions. We had the Reuben sandwich followed by a double dip ice cream cone. Prices are reasonable. Very relaxed and enjoyable lunch stop. Highly recommended stop when in Scottsboro.

(July 23, 2019, 12:41 pm)Awesome sandwiches at low prices. Had the Dagwood and Italian Stallion. We split a homemade potato salad (yum!). Either sandwich is easily for two people. Fresh vegetables. Recommended the ice cream shake, ours was chocolate. Friendly, responsive staff. Single dip cone only $2.
