Stopped in for lunch weekday afternoon. The tomato salad made with tomatoes grown on the property was delicious. Lovely basil flower aioli and crunchy bacon. Left off the faro due to GF but it was sill amazing. The truffle fries were a meal by themselves. Partner had the Greek chicken salad -extremely fresh ingredients -good balance. Chicken was tender, juicy as

ABSOLUTELY the best kept secret in Birmingham. Food is amazing, AND I have never been here when the owner/chef didn't come by to chat and check on us. Superior!

I used Yelp to find a good restaurant that serves brunch and takes reservations. Then after reading all the great reviews, seeing pictures of their meals and looking at their menu, I scheduled a brunch for five for my daughter's birthday. I am glad we went there. Food was great, drinks were great and Jon Holland the Owner/Executive Chef and Rebecca the Sous Chef both visited the table and chatted about the food, history and growth plans (heads up Mt. Brook Village they're opening a location there too in a few months!). They source all of their food from their garden and local farm. Apparently they feed their pigs peanuts and peanut butter so the pork had a better taste. We are going to definitely return. It's located in Cahaba Heights in a house where there is salon in the front part and the restaurant is in the back. Google maps will bring you right there, and then pull around back.

My husband and I have discovered a new favorite restaurant, Fig Tree. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The lunches we have enjoyed at Fig Tree are FULL of flavor. Fresh ingredients are definitely used in their kitchen, because I can taste them! The fried green tomato BLT is crispy and so delectable, I highly recommend! Plus you can see chef/owner, Jon Holland, mingling around, which just tells me how much he likes what he does and how much he cares for what comes out of his kitchen. Kudos Chef!
Staff is very attentive and very friendly.
Yes, the inside restaurant is small but it’s comfortable and well decorated with fresh flowers on every table. The outdoor seating is larger and also comfortable. Yes, parking is limited, but none of those businesses in that immediate area have large parking areas. Great job, Fig Tree!

One of Birmingham's hidden gems! More like diamond. There is literally a garden right outside where some of your produce is picked. The okra fries from the garden were the best take on fried okra I had ever had. The crab claws will make you believe you're in Orange Beach or Destin. The pork cheek and shoulder is hands down the best pork dish in the city. That's huge considering we live in the south where BBQ is King. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. They even had a German beer that I had never tried. The food, service, and drinks are worth ever penny. This was our third visit and we will be back.
