Bogue's

Wow! Talk about a slice of Americana! The portions were perfect, the bacon was thick cut and amazing! I ordered a blueberry full stack and was not disappointed. The restaurant itself is across from the site of the first ever Auburn v Alabama football game!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will be back!

Pretty decent fair w/ a typical southern feel. Decor is pretty average as well. Very simple menu, very simple environment.

So, let's be honest. Deep fried anything is not what's on our everyday meal plans these days. But, if you are going to splurge, go to Bogue's! Easy going, cafeteria style with limited selections each day. We enjoyed fried catfish, green beans, fried okra, and squash casserole (souffle?). Perfectly seasoned and cooked! Just enough pork in them beans and catfish was crispy! Get your food through the line,find a seat and someone comes to your table to provide drinks and extras. We stood out like sore thumbs when we were there - the locals know the routine. About $10 per person, a generous amount of food is put on your plate! Oh, when asked if you want cornbread OR a sweet roll - DO BOTH! :)

One of my favorite places for a quick breakfast before work (and an even quicker breakfast to-go on those late mornings)! Last I checked the online menu is a little outdated but still pretty close. My favorite part about this place is the staff. They have always been incredibly kind to me no matter the circumstances! I am starting to become a regular :)
