Tried this place right after moving to Birmingham. Worth the wait - 35 minutes!
The food was great and service was excellent. Ambiance was great and we sat outside- perfect balance of fresh air and not too loud. Get the pretzels!!

Culinary Dropout Weekend Brunch 10/10!!! First time here, the food, drinks, vibe and service were the absolute best. Such a beautiful restaurant. We had reservations and the table was ready when we arrived. We had a large party for a birthday and everything was perfect. The food was delicious. I ordered the Sausage, Bacon & Egg pizza and it was so good. Our party all had something different and everyone raved about how delicious everything was. Drinks consisted of a Boozy Bellini Mimosa and Green tea shots. Both were really good but the shots are where it’s at for me. I honestly can’t wait to go back again.

So close to being a 5star review. Great drink options. Shrimp appetizer had fried zucchini which was pretty fly. The Haddock was superb but the fries were not fresh at all. The chicken leg & thigh were also superb but the breast was highly overcooked. The Korean style ribeye cap had amazing flavor but it wasn’t very hot. The pecorino chicken was barely warm but thankfully the server did a proper table check within 3 minutes after the food was served. She took the entree and had it remade. The manager stopped by almost immediately, apologized & ultimately brought us the fresh entree (5star moves there). Monkey bread was terrific & I highly recommend, ditto for the espresso martini. Our server didn’t catch that we were double charged for the remade pasta entree, but she sorted it out. I’ll be back for the haddock.

I was really impressed with our visit to the Culinary Dropout. We were a little frustrated that we were seated and told it was happy hour and all about the drink specials yet when we tried to order were informed that because we were not sitting at the bar we would be changed full price. We literally had to get up from the table and stand by the bar (because there were no seats) and wait 15 minutes for drinks in order for them to honor happy hour prices
So the evening started off rocky but quickly changed when our food arrived. I wanted the nachos but couldn't eat pork. My server say that I can substitute any meat. I chose the steak and it turned out to be the best choice ever. It was served hot and delicious the nachos refresh and the cheese was just perfect. It had all the toppings and I had asked for them to put it on the side which they did. A wonderful choice.
My friends ordered the salmon which they loved and Steak Frites which was amazing! I took a burger home and it was absolutely delicious.
Service was quick and efficient. Our tea and soda glasses were never half full that our server wasn't topping them off
The portions were a wonderful size and we were impressed with the prices of our meals.
It was a wonderful experience and we will be dining there again soon.

My wife and I recently dined at Culinary Dropout, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the evening.

The menu offered a delightful selection of dishes, and we opted for the meatloaf and chicken sandwich. Let me tell you, each bite was a journey of flavor and satisfaction. The meatloaf was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, accompanied by delicious sides that complemented it beautifully. My wife's chicken sandwich was equally impressive, with juicy, succulent chicken nestled between perfectly toasted bread.

But it wasn't just the food that made our evening memorable; it was the ambiance and service that truly elevated our dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed evening out. And the staff? Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, they made us feel like valued guests from the moment we stepped through the door.

Overall, our experience at Culinary Dropout was nothing short of exceptional. If you're looking for delicious food, impeccable service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, look no further. We'll definitely be returning soon for another culinary adventure. Highly recommended!
