Fantastic dining experience for groups with excellent appetizers perfect for sharing.

This restaurant is a bit more upscale than most, and has just the right amount of options to entice your appetite's curiosity.

I went here with some coworkers and we had a great time. Shout out to Ella for being very attentive and having great knowledge of the menu.

We had quite a few appetizers, from dumplings to rice cakes, katsu chicken, and others. All very delicious. They are great to share but they have shareable appetizers as well.

I particularly enjoyed the wagyu beef tartare. It was truly a joy to eat and had the perfect texture.

The bar and drink options are substantial with some very delicious sake that really helps add authenticity to the Asian fusion presented on the menu. We had the Konteki which was just enough for a party of 8 to toast.

If you want something new, different, delicious and you've got some friends to bring with you, I can highly recommend.

Finally venturing out with some new friends, we made reservations at Current Charcoal Grill. It's a delightful place with valet parking to give you peace of mind about your transportation and allow you to enjoy the evening with great company. We enjoyed a variety of small dishes, cocktails, beers, and most of all, sharing food with the group [Except for dessert!]. This Asia fusion place is perfect for enjoying a great variety of nicely prepared dishes. There is an outdoor seating area and a very large bar. The sushi is a delight and well-prepared. What an incredible dining experience in Birmingham! I would say that this was probably the most creative and delicious meal that I’ve had in a while. Our server Eloise was very knowledgeable and helped us step outside of our comfort zone with dinner. We had an appetizer with chicken liver and I was pleasantly surprised by how full flavored it was.

We came for our anniversary and Eloise was just super thoughtful and helpful. The food did take a minute to come out, but overall it didn’t matter. It was a unique dining experience with a lot of shareable meals. You can make this as expensive as you wanted it to be but don’t have to break the bank to have a delicious meal at the same time.
