Ironwood Kitchen & Cocktails

I'm not a cocktail person but it was impressive watching Christian and Kevin craft drinks for their guests. Kevin's trained palate allowed him to refine the product and presentation until it was just right. Christian's humble 'customer first' attitude made my wife and I feel very comfortable and welcome. One can tell that both Kevin and Christian go out of their way to deliver a positive experience to their guests.

There are a lot of restaurants in the city that are yummy and have atmosphere but this place is doing extremely innovative things in the kitchen. The chef put things on the menu that I thought would be strange when I was eating them I couldn't believe no one had thought of those combinations before. There was a salad that had golden raisins like a summer salad but it was mixed into a chop salad with little bits of veggies. Look strange to look at on a menu and was delicious to eat. I had something in my mouth that tasted familiar when I was having my steak but I couldn't figure out what the taste was. I had to ask the chef. It was a popcorn green. I was tasting popcorn. The fried asparagus was delicious. Every part of this meal was original and unique. It may be a little bit out of your price range if you just want to have dinner but if you really want to have a culinary experience this is one of the up and coming places in the city post covid that everyone should be looking at.

The host and bartenders were great! The service and staff were amazing. The food was perfect. We had the salmon, short ribs, and chicken and it was delicious and done perfectly. Kevin and Christian work so well together and we're very pleasant. Thank you so much for this great experience!! 👍

Stellar service, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Cocktails were great, amazing selection. And the food was next level. The banging bama collards actually almost made me emotional. Also highly recommend the hangers, such a fun concept and absolutely delectable candied bacon. Definitely a place to go if you're looking to try something new on the high end culinary scene in Birmingham!

Went here for lunch and the smoked salmon salad was SO good! Also highly recommend the Vodka + Vulcan cocktail. Christian the bartender and the manager Kayla were very attentive and nice. Will definitely be going back!!
