O’ Taste & See LLC

Came from south of Atlanta to try this food that people have been ranting and raving about. I must say that it didn't disappoint my taste buds. The 2.5 hr drive was definitely worth it and me and my family will be returning. The atmosphere was homey, the staff was quite welcoming, and we absolutely loved out meals!!!! This establishment is highly recommended if you are in search of some amazing soul food!!!!!

Okay I saw this restaurant being reviewed on Darius Cooks. I had a event to attend in Birmingham and looked up the hours. I called the owner Chef Tim because they close at 6pm and I wasn't gonna arrive to 5:40pm. Long Story short he and his wife were so absolutely amazing not only did they keep the restaurant opened for me to eat after a 10hr drive coming from Chicago. When I telllllll YOU the Food, oh the food, the food was absolutely amazing like came right outta grandmas kitchen, I had the Beef Tips, Oxtails, cabbage, macaroni, string beans corn bread and sweet potato 🥔🥔🥔 it was enough food for the next day! Make sure you guys support this restaurant because it don't get no Betta than this!!!

I really enjoyed the food at O' Taste and See. I had a very great and pleasant experience. The team and the owner are very friendly and welcoming when you first step into the restaurant. The mac 'n' cheese is the best mac n cheese I ever had at a soul food restaurant here in the Birmingham area. I wish the oxtails were a little more tender and moister for the amount of money that I paid for the oxtail plate, but all in all, I had a great experience, and I will definitely be back. However, I came back a second time and got the turkey wings and it was WONDERFUL and I personally believe this is the best and most professional soul food restaurant here in the Birmingham area. My dad got something to eat here for the first time on Father’s Day after I told him about O’ Taste & See.

He came back today to get a takeout plate for himself and my mom.

I went with my wife for the first time today.

I got the 2 piece fried and smothered pork-chops with rice, mac & cheese, yams, and cornbread.

My wife got the hamburger steak with rice, collard greens, mac & cheese, & cornbread.

I had no idea he was going back today and he was there about 40 minutes before we arrived.

I asked him what he got and he got the same thing I did. 😂

We have tasted. We have seen. It is good!!!!

Chef Powell and his team welcomed our group with open arms! We so enjoyed the generous helpings of delicious food! The sides were all delicious - that Mac n cheese though! A+

Plenty of food to take home and eat another meal later! Chef Powell and his team we hospitable and friendly. Great service and delicious food! Highly recommend!
