Urban Cookhouse

This is in the financial district of Birmingham and attracts a health conscious clientele, and others who just want something tasty for lunch. Queue up, order, pay and wait for delivery to your table. It all went pretty well. I went for a bowl of coup – broccoli or corn chowder – and a BALT, which is toasted white bread with crispy local bacon, avocado and lettuce and tomato. The last two ingredients were mostly missing in action, but the sandwich had a squirt of dressing and was tasty. Plenty of people tucking into salads and hummus and the like, and scarcely a fried thing in sight. They pride themselves on local sourcing of fresh produce but it is not a hard out vego or vegan joint. The strawberry lemonade was lovely too!

Excellent food, very welcoming staff members, regularly awesome vibes. They charge fair rates and the food quality is awesome. Great work.

The food came out quickly! The salad was fresh and crisp. The chicken was hot and well seasoned. The rice pilaf was very good. The orange roll was soft and flakey with a light layer of orange icing spread on it. Everything was delicious!!

I always love Urban, especially this location. Fresh food that is quick and convenient is something that is hard to come by. I tend to order the same two things over and over, and each time is super delicious. Super fast too!

Experience was great. The staff was very nice and helpful. Food was also enjoyable. When we went to leave it was raining and one of the staff actually came out with an umbrella for us! So kind and caring.
