Applebee's Grill + Bar

The host looked depressed and should not have been the greater. At least for today. Our server was not rude but was as unhappy as the hostess. The lighting is dark and depressing which has an affect on employees and customers. We are on anniversary and are also vegan. Applebees is NOT vegan friendly. We did enjoy a few drinks and the chips and salsa were great.
The major issue besides not getting to enjoy a meal was having to listen to employees carrying on private conversation next to our booth. Time 2:00.

The food was great! My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The server was attentive and quick. However, I asked for part of my order to be to go and let the server know I wanted them to wait until right before we left to bring it out. The server informed me when they brought my food out that the to go portion of the order was ready also, and asked if I wanted him to go ahead and bring it out. The point was for the food to be hot and fresh and keep it from cooking up too much before I took it home for my wife. Other than that, it was a pretty good experience. We always enjoy going to this Applebee's.

Stopped in for lunch. The food for the most part was good. Had to wait for drinks and bread. The steak was good and the bread was over baked. The price is reasonable for the lunch menu. We shared the apple fritter with vanilla ice cream, the best part of the meal.
