Jubilee Joe's Cajun Seafood Restaurant

A fun place to spend New Years Eve for dinner. Service was good, albeit a bit slow. Our server had a positive attitude and my Fried Grouper platter was very good. Jambalaya was very good, the cheddar mashed potatoes were okay. I've been a few times over many years. I would recommend this place!

This place has good food but the service was not the best. We had a group of 5 when we walked in there was confusion if we were a group that called ahead. We told them no but our answer seemed to fall on deaf ears. Finally we got the point across when we we sat at a table for 11 but we moved to a smaller table. They finally said oh you didn't call. We ordered and the food came it was average, the boiled shrimp were frozen you can tell when you peel them the peels are soft soggy and do not remove well. They were either not seasoned or poorly seasoned. It tasted like they were cooked in water. The best tasting part of our meal was the cocktail sauce everyone agreed. If you are going to advertise Cajun and a Louisiana feel, you have to be prepared for a table of people that are from the Bayou and wanting Cajun flavored food. The spicy was mild at best. Don't get your hopes up and you won't be disappointed. It was average.

I've loved Jubilee Joe's for years! They have great seafood. It's fresh and cooked so well that any Gulf coast native would love it too. I needed some perfectly seasoned seafood and was not disappointed. I'll even use them for Thanksgiving this year. I've never had a bad dish here. If you love authentic cajun food, give this restaurant a try. Only thing I ask is that you try anything other than the chicken! Go for seafood!
