Personally I thought it was just okay. Other places around Bham have better ramen, the seoul nachos have good components but together odd and takoyaki was okay. Ramen was the best item, best in town but I'd rather drive out to Hoover for it. Had different ramen the first time and same- solid but better out there.
Wanted to try a few other things but they were out, which they were out last time as well.
Service was great though, very nice staff.
Great customer service! They made sure we liked everything and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back.
Enjoyed the food, my waitresses was really nice and the place looked amazing as well as the outside seemed like it would be great for family when it's not raining. The sushi here is a little more expensive than some other places. My only complaint is a personal one and has nothing to do with the actual restaurant, and that is that the menu is different from the downtown location. There are some real gems on the menu missing and I was excited thinking they would be a closer copy of the same menu, but things like the chicken tacos or even a salmon roll are no where to be seen. Again, that is just a personal thing, but I added it just in case it might help others.
My family and I have been going to Umami Birmingham and always love it. We are so excited about new Umami Trussville which is closer to us that has the same atmosphere and good food.
While still technically in their "Soft-Opening," Umami Trussville promises to be a wonderful addition to the Trussville Entertainment District. We enjoyed a few wonderful small bites here this evening. Spicy Korean Wings and various mini-tacos. Everything was fantastic. We look forward to seeing them flourish in Trussville!
