Blackwell's

Had a meeting there with friends. Salad was great. Apitizer was fresh and HUGE!!! Was full after two courses. Steak and fries were very good. Steak was cooked properly, without the spices per my order. Fries were plentiful and golden brown. Crispy and too hot to eat! Dessert was not needed but I couldn't resist. Service tomes were fantastic. As I finished the salad here came the entree with huge sides. Dessert order was on time, dessert was very fast. Dessert was..... OH, LORD JESUS TAKE ME HOME NOW I'M DONE WITH THE BEST SWEETS EVER type of good!

Better than it used to be. Waitress was great, but they are perpetually understaffed. Also, they still claim to be a sports bar, but dont fully embrace that title. Biggest SEC game of the weekend, UGA v FL, was relegated to small screens while they had Army v AF on the big screen. Seriously?!?!? Anyway, food is good, and new menu structure works well. Will go back again.

Only one person waiting on tables. Food was good. Person servicing us was nice and polite. Just wasn't enough of her.

I want Blackwells to be good. It is very close to my house and the food is pretty good. But... The service is consistently slow and has been for years, even under new management. I have been numerous times when they are slow and it's incredible how long it can take to get food. Tonight I ordered a to-go order, they gave a 30 min pickup time which is long to begin with. I waited 25 min and went to pick up order at the bar. Spoke to bartender about my order.... And waited 20 minutes without ever getting an update. Finally asked about it, and oh they didn't box it up it will be just a second. Get food 55 minutes after ordered... Get home and fries are cold and damp. Had obviously been sitting unattended while I sat at bar also unattended...... Good onion rings.
