Place is extremely busy, but it's worth the wait. Food was fresh and delicious, servers were absolutely lovely and we had an amazing experience. I'd crank the AC down just a little bit, but other than that, absolutely nothing I could possibly complain about :)
Freshest sushi I've ever had! The atmosphere gives off a vibe that is perfect for this type of dining experience. The kimchi pimento cheese is incredible. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I stopped in Outlaw Sushi Friday at lunch. The restaurant was very busy. We were told the wait would be 15 minutes. The fifteen minutes turned into 40 minutes or more. We didn't mind, and the hostesses communicated with us that it was taking longer than expected.
By the time we were seated, we were on a strict time schedule because we had to pick our daughter up from school, so we decided to order something that would be quick and easy.
My husband ordered the seaweed salad.
I ordered the Sunomono.
Both were delicious and refreshing.
We decided to share the Shrimp Tempura roll. To our surprise, it was prepared with cream cheese instead of avocado as listed on the menu.
It wasn't a big enough deal to complain or send it back, but my husband doesn't eat cheese of any sort, so it was definitely disappointing for him.
I ate the Shrimp Tempura roll made with cream cheese, and although it wasn't what I ordered, it was good.
It wasn't really a big enough roll to share anyway;)
It would have been nice to have a ramekin for soy sauce.
We are very understanding that the restaurant is new, had only been open for business less than a week, and the fact that they were totally slammed upon our arrival.
We will definitely be back soon when we aren't pressed for time.
There's several great looking items on the menu that I can't wait to try.
There is seating available inside as well as outside.
A couple of large umbrellas to provide shade to the outside seating would be a great addition.
We got to try Outlaw Thursday for lunch and it was amazing!! We got the Bourbon Street and Northern Lights rolls. We also got the Truffalo Karaage for an appetizer and it was so good too! We cannot wait to go back because it was some of the best sushi we have had!!
Pretty good. Would like to try more options to give more detail. Sushi was fresh but didn’t have a lot of flavor to me. I got the suicide and my friend got the Bruin. Service was really good. Prices are steep but that seems typical with a “trendy sushi place” in the Grove, whatever that is.. might come back to try the Pho and give it another shot. Parking is a bit limited.
