Celebrating Mom's 76 Birthday, Ordered a Homemade Sour Cream Pound Cake. It Was Awesome Along With The Pork Chop Dinner and Southern Sweet Tea. Fried Chicken and Collard Greens Was Tha Bomb Too! Great Hospitality, Clean Atmosphere and Fast Service. Special Treat, The Famous Chef Sidney Corum was in the House. Enjoyed and Highly Recommend, We Will Be Back!

I love this place. Everytime that I come to town, I make it a point to stop in. There hours are different. They are closed on Saturdays. It also appears that when the food runs out they close early, so don't chance trying to stop by when they are close to closing. I love there yams and macaroni. Corn was great too. Don't think there is much that I don't like on the menu. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

It was pretty good but I don't like sugar in my vegetables. The cornbread was also sweet. The baked chicken was a little bit heavy with skin and gravy. I think a meat & 3 can be done a little bit leaner. We would probably go there again but have to be very careful if you are health conscious. Things are a little bit fatty and sweet for my taste. Still, they have great service, the tea was good, price was great, and they really try to do a good job.

Recommended to me by the ladies at the Alabama Welcome Center rest stop. This place is a gem. It's hidden in a little strip mall, but it's the best 'home cooking' food I've had in years. The veggies were so fresh, I'm positive they came out of a garden the morning of. The only negative: the pork chop was a little too salty, but it was so delicious I ate it anyway. Go hungry, leave happy. Have a salad for your next meal.
