Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel is my favorite eatery when we travel. Their delicious reputation was upheld in this visit. I always have turnip greens, my favorite. I also like home style dishes, like their meatloaf & REAL mashed potatoes. I took a pecan pie to go. I'd never take a road trip without stopping at one for a meal.

I'll be honest & say that Cracker Barrel isn't in my top 20 favorite restaurants, BUT my parents LOVE it & so we dine here fairly regularly. We celebrated my Dad's 75th birthday with a lot of the grand kids & great grand kids. It was a good meal with exceptional service by Katie. Dad & the great grand kids love playing checkers on the front porch. I've given an extra star is because I love shopping in the Cracker Barrel store!

Well. It's Cracker Barrel, and sadly a restaurant that needs rescue. 3rd straight instance(in 3 separate locals) that some basic menu staple was out/unavailable. My goodness gracious, how can a popular restaurant be out of mashed potatoes! (in the 7 o'clock hour-really).
Our wait staff was neat, polite and knowledgeable. The dining area was neat and orderly. But even the sides even seemed rationed in size. (my hashbrown casserole seemed served literally from a iced tea spoon!)
Please Cracker Barrel, get it together and drop the chintzy act, come back to the dance with the partner that brought you and please be Cracker Barrel.

This place usually serves a good meal and the staff is very friendly. I met someone here today for business and it was a great environment. Food was served quickly and I can't say enough about our waitress she was great. There is plenty of parking for cars, buses etc. Everytime you eat at Cracker Barrel you feel like you gotta buy something from the store, especially if you're wife is with you.

We were seated quickly, despite the crowd. The waitress was friendly and prompt. My broccoli, side item, was uncooked and she quickly took it back to the kitchen and had them cook it. Overall lunch was pretty good. We didn't do any shopping, but all the fall stuff was out and they had a lot of pretty things. Love Cracker Barrel!
